Our sweet and beloved Mother, Yvonne Chavez Sifuentes, 75 years old went to be with Our Lord on September 23, 2025. During her passing, she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She is now reunited with her loving husband, Joel M. Sifuentes who preceded her in death four years prior. Yvonne was a wonderful mother to her children, Janelle Adams (Tom) and Joel A. Sifuentes (Leilani); proud grandmother of Jenna Adams Gremmer (Brandon), Justine, Jiselle (fiancé Blake Trevino), and Tommy Lee Adams III, Alaina Rodriguez, Joel Alexander Sifuentes, and Jarod Sifuentes; great-grandmother to Clementine and Camille Gremmer; sister-in-law to Elia Rodriguez and aunt to Leticia Trevino (Fernando) and Sheri Krueger.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raul and Alicia Chavez, grandson, Baby Angel Adams; brother-in-law, Philip Rodriguez; and in-laws Merardo and Carolina Sifuentes.

Yvonne was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Academy High School and attended Our Lady of the Lake University. She worked for the Social Security Administration where she retired after 32 years of Civil Service. Even in recent years, she had remained in close contact with her high school and work friends.

She truly enjoyed life with her late husband and children's families. Yvonne loved watching her grandchildren compete in sports and school events. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, play bingo, going to movie theaters, and visiting antique and craft stores. Yvonne also volunteered her time to Meals on Wheels, the Guadalupanas at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, and St. Vincent De Paul pantry at St. Mark the Evangelist.

Yvonne was a beautiful woman who lived a life filled with love, grace, service to others, and peace. Mom, your life was a blessing, and your memory a treasure. She will forever remain in our hearts.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Services were held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. As requested, Yvonne wished for only her children and grandchildren to be in attendance for a simple service and family meal afterwards. She asked that her obituary be posted after her burial. We are respecting her wishes.
