Yolanda (Londie) Mayorga Arnold from San Antonio, Texas was welcomed into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ on November 21, 2019. She was born on October 5, 1954 in Riviera, Texas to Anita Trevino Mayorga and Luis Gonzalez Mayorga.
She attended St. Francis Academy and majored in Psychology at St Mary's University, both in San Antonio, Texas. She earned a BS in Nursing at University of Texas Health Science Center Nursing School. As a registered nurse, she served in many capacities including CCU nurse, nursing home Director of Nursing, home visiting nurse and middle school and high school nurse.
Her biggest passion was her large family whom she loved immensely and devoted her whole life to. She was a very active member of St. Paul's Church serving in the Eucharistic ministry for the homebound, the Altar Society and in the ACTS Sisters in Christ. Londie touched everyone she encountered in her life. During her extended illness she was known for her humor and kindness she demonstrated to all the doctors, nurses and technicians who cared for her. During her last days she continued healing others; dispensing wisdom and honest critique; and entertaining her loved ones with her dry humor. Londie was profoundly loved and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her father Luis Gonzalez Mayorga. She is survived by her loving mother, Anita Mayorga; four children-Antonio Flores, Jean Marie Flores, Sara Flores (and husband Christopher) Fuller and Lia Arnold, all from San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 8 siblings, M. Alicia Mayorga, Norma (and husband Khosrow) Naghaviani, Robert (and wife Camille) Mayorga, Ida (and husband Jim) Soriano, Rose (and husband Andy) Barajas, Velma Mayorga, David (and wife Gloria) Mayorga and Abel Mayorga.
