Yolanda died peacefully on September 15, 2022.  She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 5th 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio and Elvira Galindo, sisters: Sylvia Barba and Rosalie Galindo. She is survived by her sister, Marie Brushwood, brother-in-law Gilbert Barba, son, Christopher Flores and granddaughter, Aerith.

Yolanda graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University. She worked in the San Antonio independent school district for 33 years and taught history at Tafolla middle school until her retirement in 2003.

Yolanda was very proud of the community she grew up in and called herself a "west side princess."  Yolanda had a wonderful sense of humor and a very generous heart. Family gatherings will truly never be the same without her laughter. She will be missed tremendously.
