It is with great sadness that the family of Father Wallis Joseph Stiles shares his passing on August 12, 2019 at the age of 84.  Father Stiles was born on August 28, 1935 in Alice, Texas to Dora Besse Stiles and Grady Stiles. Father Stiles grew up in the San Antonio area and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953. He then dedicated his life to the priesthood and was ordained on May 27, 1961 serving parishes in New Braunfels, Vanderbilt, Stonewall, and D'Hanis until his retirement in 2013.  He was very proud to have been a priest for 52 years.

Father Stiles was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Stiles, who was his constant companion until her death in 2005, and by his father, three uncles, an aunt and three cousins. He is survived by many cousins, their children and grandchildren, and a half-sister, Josephine Wiginton.

To the many of you that sent cards and visited him during his time at Padua Place, we thank you. The staff at Padua Place will be forever in our hearts and prayers.
