Obituary

Victor H. Pell, age 77, of San Antonio, TX passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 surrounded by his wife, Madeline Pell, daughters Cindy and Cheryl, and sisters-in-law, Diane and Susan.

Vic was a devoted husband of 56 years who was always there to help his family.  He proudly served the United States Navy (Chief Petty Officer) retiring after 20 years of service.  During his military career, the family was stationed in Virginia, Puerto Rico, Japan, Tennessee, and Florida.  Vic's dedication to education earned him a Bachelor's degree while in the military.  The family settled in San Antonio after his retirement where Vic also worked for the US Postal Service.

He enjoyed many hobbies, always with a competitive spirit and ensuring the rules were followed.  This keen awareness of applying the rules was one of the reasons Vic's interest including serving as a referee and umpire for local basketball, softball, and football leagues.  He enjoyed many sporting interests including golf, bowling, ping pong but none more so than card games.  Vic enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, NV and Louisiana with his daughters to play Texas Hold'Em tournaments and 21.  Vic will be deeply missed by his family and friends but we take comfort knowing we will be reunited with him one day for the ultimate poker tournament.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline H. Pell; daughters, Cindy Pell Naranjo and husband Joe; Cheryl Pell; grandsons Zachary Ryan Fernandez, Aaron Naranjo, Nicholas Naranjo, and Adam Naranjo; sister Joyce Gil De Lamadrid and husband Neil, daughters Amber and Amy; plus, close family members, Diane Jamison, Roland Hernandez, Susan and Joe Cerda, Belinda Castaneda, plus several nieces and nephews.
