Mr. Valentin C. Coronado age 87 of San Antonio passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Mr. Coronado retired from civil service at Kelly Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his parents: Valentin and Inez Coronado; son, Rudy Coronado; son-in-law, Arnold Estrada; grandson, Gabriel C. Gutierrez; siblings: Gil Coronado, Angel Coronado and Annie Perez. Mr. Coronado is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dora M. Coronado; children: Rose Estrada, Nancy Baldarama (Eddie), Roland Coronado, Doris Torres, Angel Coronado (Bertha), and Annette Benavides (David); grandchildren: Becky, Patricia, Melissa, Teresa, Joshua, James, David II, Jacob, and Matthew; 12 great-grandchildren. We would like to thank Christina Navarro for the care given to our father. Visitation will begin Thursday evening at 5:00 P.M. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2.
