Tommy G. Garcia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16th surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 56.  A life-long resident of San Antonio, Tommy graduated from Central Catholic HS in 1978 and earned his bachelor and master's degrees from Our Lady of the Lake University.

He was the principal of Howard Taft High School in NISD since 2004.  Although he was only with us for a short while, he influenced, enlightened, and guided thousands.  His dedication to his students and staff was beyond distinguished and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry M. Garcia, and survived by his mother, Theresa Calzoncit Garcia, his siblings: Henry Garcia and wife Margie, Tim Garcia and wife Margaret, Martie Garcia, Peggy Hernandez and husband Gilbert and his girlfriend of many years, Ana Romero, numerous nieces, nephews and his fur-babies Corey and Dominic.
