Thomas Richard Toddes, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2025, holding his loving wife's hand until his last breath, just as he always wished.

Tom was born on October 29, 1947, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Tom was the beloved husband of Lucy Muñoz-Toddes, with whom he shared 24 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Toddes and Mary Elizabeth Toddes.

Tom was a man with a warm heart who will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family and his great sense of humor. Tom genuinely loved meeting people and never met a stranger. In his younger years, he enjoyed attending car shows and had a lifelong appreciation for automobiles. He was also a devoted sports fan who proudly supported the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, cheering them on with enthusiasm and loyalty.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Lucy; his daughters Nikki Harmon (husband Kevin) and Cindy Pegues (husband Rhett). He was a proud grandfather to Tyler Gunderman, Cooper Gunderman, Jaxon Harmon, Campbell Lynn Pegues, and Hatley Ann Pegues.

Thomas is also survived by his stepson Roland Rene Muñoz and his grandchildren Sofia Ansley Muñoz and Dominic Antonin Muñoz.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on January 15, 2026, followed by a Mass at 11:30 a.m., both at Our Lady of the Grace Catholic Church, located at 223 E. Summit Ave / McCullough Ave.

Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with the procession arriving at 1:30 p.m. on January 15, 2026. The cemetery is located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
