Our precious mother, Teresa Yanes Rangel, was born October 15, 1921, in Prairie Lee, Texas to Simona Ochoa and Hijinio Yanes. She went to Heaven with our Lord, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the age of 97. Two joyous celebrations occurred on this lovely day, the Ascension of our Lord and the 50th birthday of her first grandson. Mommy joined her beloved husband, Lorenzo Rangel, parents, and siblings.
Persevering through trials and tribulations, Mama made sure her children received an education while putting her dreams aside. She was intelligent, full of life, and had compassion for everyone. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, cooking, volunteering at senior communities, and being a member of her cherished St. Ann Catholic Church Altar Society.
Mom is survived by 1 sister, Eusebia Ramirez. Her surviving children, Mary Alice Rangel Luna (Arturo), Rosalinda Rangel Flores (Gilbert), Jesus De La Rosa, Blanca E. Rangel, Lorenzo Rangel Jr. (Rosie), Olivia Rangel Flores (Carlos), Danny Rangel (Anna), Margie Rangel Cavazos (Arthur), and Lawrence Rangel (Mary). Her surviving grandchildren, Alejandro Rei De La Rosa (Monica), Jessica De La Rosa (Raul Sanchez), Moses Rangel (Mila), Joshua Rangel, Julian Flores (Katie), Daniel Flores, Rebecca Rangel Sibley (Charles), Sarah Rangel, Michael Rangel, John Rangel, Michael Cavazos, Gabrielle Cavazos, Jacob Rangel and Veronica Rangel. Her surviving great-grandchildren, Blair De La Rosa, Gavin Gonzales, Savannah De La Rosa, Alecsander De La Rosa, Raisa De La Rosa, James Flores, Michael Flores, Bella Flores, Abigail Flores, Jalen Rangel, Jordan Rangel, Penelope Sibley and one on the way.
We will forever miss you and are filled with joy that you are with Jesus now, watching over us.
With appreciation and gratitude for their compassionate care, we would like to send a special thank you to Dr. David Guerrero (Holy Cross Clinic), the staff of Memorial Medical Nursing Center, OpusCare Hospice (Dr. Centeno, RN Brandy ("la bonita"), CNA Nidia Ramirez ("la cantante"), social worker Lorri, Champlain Carlos), St. Ann Catholic Church (Fr.
