Teresa Contreras Nuñez went peacefully to be with our Lord on Friday, April 29, 2022.

She was born October 30, 1932, in Parras, Coahuila, Mexico and made her home in San Antonio, Texas.

She is survived by her sister Angelita Nuñez Martinez, daughter Juana Hernandez, granddaughters Crystal Hernandez and Marissa Hernandez, great grandson Xavier Hernandez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Cristovar Nuñez and Maria Contreras, siblings Juan Nuñez, Lupe Nuñez, Nicolas Nuñez, Carmela Nuñez, Josefina Nuñez, Benito Nuñez, Faustino Nuñez, Pedro Nuñez, son-in-law Hector Hernandez, and her beloved dog Bella.

When Teresa was only 15 years old, she came by herself to the United States. Here she built a life for herself: inspiring the women in her family and empowering them with resilience.

Her heart was filled with an immense amount of love that went beyond her family, and she held The Liberto Family closely. She loved trips to the beach in Port Aransas, making tamales, and a delicious dinner of mole enchiladas.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 5:00pm with

a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm in

The Angelus Chapel, 1119 N. St. Mary's St.

Funeral Mass offered Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00am

at Sacred Heart Catholic Church

2114 W. Houston St.

Services will conclude Friday morning at the church.
