Sr. Trinidad Reyes, FMA, age 94, born in Huandacareo, Michoacan, Mexico, died peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the Salesian Sisters' Provincial House in San Antonio, TX.

Sr. Trini, as she was commonly known, served the Lord with great joy and enthusiasm mainly as a catechist in various Texas cities: Raymondville, San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, San Marcos, Austin, Bellflower, CA, and Westwego, LA.

When she could no longer be active in the teaching field, she maintained contact with her past students and friends.  Even when illness weighed heavily upon her, she never refused a visit or a phone call from her friends and former students who always went away filled with hope.  She enthusiastically took part in community prayer and get-togethers.  Her great devotion to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and to Mary, Help of Christians was exemplary.  Her deep faith and joyful loving attitude will long be remembered by the many people whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Refugio Reyes and Ines Fernandez; two brothers, Refugio Reyes and Ygnacio Reyes, and one sister, Martha Reyes.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her religious community, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters).
