Satchie Dolan Leighton, age 62, died peacefully on Thursday, March 22nd, with her family by her side.  She was born December 19th, 1955, to Mrs. Charles Monroe Dolan (Satchie), and Charles "Buzz" Dolan.  She grew up in Del Rio, Texas, and later moved to San Antonio, where she completed Bachelor's and Master's degrees of education from Trinity University.  She remains one of the youngest graduates in Trinity history.

Ms. Leighton was many things in her life.  She was a loving mother, a teacher, an entrepreneur, a restauranteur, a philanthropist, and active member of the San Antonio community.  She enjoyed giving her time to charitable organizations including the Junior League, The American Heart Association, and Miss Fiesta San Antonio.  Those who knew Ms. Leighton remember her remarkable generosity, her gift for entertaining, her love of people, and her magnetic personality.

Ms. Leighton is survived by her daughter, Satchie Seidlits, her sister, Charlotte "Cha Cha" Dolan, and her mother.  She was preceded in death by her father and her siblings, Charles Monroe "Laddie" Dolan, Jr., Christine McDonald "Tina" Dolan.
