Sara P. Rea's Obituary
Mrs. Sara P. Rea age 84 of San Antonio, died on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Soledad Perez; sister, Rose Marie Tellez; aunts, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Encarnacion Guzman, and Dolores Gutierrez.
Sara is survived by her husband of 59 years, Tony Rea; children, David P. Rea (Laura), Daniel P. Rea (Cathy), Oscar P. Rea (Elisa), and Yolanda P. Maciel (Luis); sisters, Ana Victoria Cardinas (Jesus), and Yolanda A. Leos (Isisdoro); grandchildren, Eric, Angela, Christopher, Dylan, Anthony, and Jacob.
Sara enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Her granddaughter Angela enjoyed Sunday lunches with her grandma while attending St. Mary's University and was always sent home with provisions for the week, orange juice, milk and yogurt. Sara always told stories of her days at Aetna, SAISD, and growing up with her sisters. Sara showed her love for everyone through her cooking and many family get togethers. Sara may not have said it but showed through her actions how much she loved her family and friends.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 26th at 6:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at The Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, May 27th at 10:30 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2.
