Samuel "Sammy" Fong, Jr. entered eternal peace and joy with the Lord on September 1, 2015. He was born on July 27, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1964. He was a member of the San Antonio Prime Timers where he scheduled weekly luncheons, monthly dine outs, and was Editor of the monthly newsletter. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Sam Fong and Carmen Garcia Fong and loving grandmother, Maria Garcia and his beloved cat "Bacardi." He is survived by life long friends Robert Guerrero, Patrick Matthews, Carlos Reina, Juan Pacheco, Emmanuel Rochhia, Rey Lopez, David Cristan, Preston Turegano, Leticia Gomez and a large circle of other friends. He had a lasting childhood extended family in Guadalajara, Mexico. Family and friends are welcome to gather Friday, September 4, 2015 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at The Angelus Funeral Home Chapel, a Memorial Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. A private burial will be held at a later date.
