Rudy Campos Sr.'s Obituary
Rudy Campos Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and sibling went to be with our Lord in Heaven on August 12, 2018.
Rudy was born in Eagle Pas, Tx and later moved to San Antonio, Tx. He graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1967 and was drafted in the U.S. Army serving our country in Vietnam from 1967-1969. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 2nd Arty.
Rudy met the love of his life Irene in 1970 and married her in October 1971. Both were blessed with two sons, Rudy Jr. and Robert.
Rudy continued his work for our government as a sheet metal mechanic at Fort Sam Houston, Kelly AFB and later retired from Lackland AFB in December 2012. He was an avid bowler enjoying all of the wonderful friends he encountered and competed with, a bingo player and enjoyed going to casinos. He also spent the last 5 years of his life enjoying every moment with his granddaughter Joann, whom he loved very much.
He is survived by his love, Irene, his son Rudy Jr. and his wife Gina, granddaughter Joann; also by his son Robert, Isela and her children Valerie, Alyssa, Benny and numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and countless friends. Everyone will miss him dearly and we look forward to reuniting one day with our beloved.
Visitation will begin Monday, August 20, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. in The Angelus Funeral Home Chapel, 1119 N. St. Mary's St. Funeral Service will begin at 9:00 A.M.
Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
