Ruben Gonzales was born on July 30, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mariano and Esther Gonzales and brother, Joe Gonzales.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Hortencia (Hope) Gonzales; sister, Gloria Ortiz; daughters, Dalia (Andrew) Robles, Sandra Marie (Matthew) Hernandez; step-daughter, Sandra Ortiz; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins and other family members.

Ruben served in the U.S. Navy for 11 years and retired from the Audie Murphy VA Hospital (print shop).

Ruben was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He will be greatly missed.
