Rosie Antoinette Flores Garcia, 96, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2025.

Born on April 21, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas (Bexar County) to Pedro M. Flores and Micaela Felan Flores, also of San Antonio. Rosie grew up grounded in her Catholic faith, family, and community service.

In 1948, she married her beloved husband, Arthur Garcia, and together they built a loving life in San Antonio. They cherished time with their two sons, Edward (Eddie) and Richard (Rick), with countless family memories in the great outdoors made around camping, boating, and fishing. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for 56 years. Mrs. Garcia was a civil service employee for over 40 years.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Garcia, her son Edward Garcia, her parents Pedro M. Flores and Micaela Felan Flores, five siblings; Valentino Flores, Kathleen Flores, Gloria Medellin, Anita Vasquez, and Pete Flores Jr.

She is survived by her son, Richard Steven Garcia (Holly); grandson, Steven Garcia (Sarah); sister, Cecelia (Manuel) Zertuche; granddaughters, Aubrey and Emily; and various nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at The Angelus Funeral Home 1119 North St Mary's Street on Monday, October 20th at 6:00 pm, Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.

Interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 21st at 10:00am.
