Rosie G. Contreras, age 91, passed away April 26, 2018 and went into the arms of God. She was born February 19, 1927 to the late Enrique Garcia, Sr. and Rufina Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Contreras, siblings, Guadalupe Contreras, Valentin Garcia and Carlos Garcia.

She is survived by daughters: Dolores Contreras, Evangeline Zuniga, and Rebecca Contreras; sons: Roy and Steven Contreras; sister, Ernestine Castillo and brothers: Rudy Garcia and Henry Garcia, Jr., (Ladislao V. Garcia t) She had several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; and her loving dog "Chiquita."

She was the "Great Gran" of the family and a "social butterfly" who loved music, dancing, singing, family and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Monday, May 14, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 12:00 noon, St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
