Rosemary Bertetti Doyle, 95, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the family she so deeply loved. Born on November 15, 1930, (San Antonio, Texas) Rosemary lived a long and generous life shaped by family and community service.
A lifelong San Antonian, Rosemary poured her time and talents into the community she cherished. She attended downtown Ursuline Academy through high school. The family tradition continued with her four daughters also attending Ursuline Academy. Rosemary was a steadfast supporter and alumni of Incarnate Word College. She was married to John Lewis Doyle, (deceased 1993), for 40 wonderful years. They are dancing together again.
Her commitment to service extended far beyond her family. Rosemary gave generously of her time to many organizations, leaving a lasting impact on each. She held every office at the San Antonio Garden Center, including President, and was a dedicated member of the Assistance League of San Antonio, where she especially enjoyed volunteering at the League's Thrift Store. She was also a dedicated member of the San Antonio Conservation Society, where she and Peggy Penshorn co-chaired the bunuelo booth at a Night in Old San Antonio for decades. Her daughters are now carrying on the bunuelo tradition. She was a member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre and made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, a journey that reflected her deep faith and sense of gratitude for her life.
At the heart and energy of her family, she was a proud Matriarch. She raised five children and played an essential role in the upbringing of twelve grandchildren, attending their activities, and celebrating their milestones. She later welcomed seven great-grandchildren, each one a special treasure in her life. She made friends feel like family. To them, and to her family, she was "RoRo." Rosemary's devotion was never passive, she would drop everything to help her daughters and son. She traveled to Houston, Dallas and many times to Australia.
Some of her happiest moments were spent with family at the Port Aransas beach house and at the 5D Ranch near Yancey,Texas where generations gathered to share meals, laughter and the simple joy of being together.
