Rose Ann Sanchez, our beautiful mother, sister, grandmother and amazing friend, was peacefully called home to heaven on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 joining her parents, Rogelio and Natividad Sanchez. Rose's faith led her to accept Jesus Christ into her life so she is now joyfully celebrating in His presence.
Born in Laredo, Texas on May 7, 1956, Rose was a vibrant addition to our family's life. She was always beautiful, stylishly dressed, perfectly made-up hair, nails and makeup. Her love for baking was well known to all who recall her apple cakes, chocolate chip cookies and pineapple upside down cake. She had a love of art, design and decoration. Her brothers remember the delicious meals she cooked for them, especially enchiladas. Rose had the ability to connect with people and made friends so easily.
She is survived by her son Conrad Christopher Gonzales, grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jonathan and Amber and one great grandchild, Jovan. She is also survived by her siblings, Rogelio J. and Marie Sanchez, Norma and Frank Perez, Paul and Leticia Sanchez, Michael and Karen Sanchez, Deacon Albert and Sandra Sanchez, numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and was loved by them.
Rose graduated from Blessed Sacrament Academy and attended Our Lady of the Lake University. She worked over 25 years for San Antonio Independent School district, the majority of years at Sarah King Elementary devoting her life to the many elementary children she worked with helping them to love learning.
