Rogelio Rosales was born 24 January 1926 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. He was the 2nd child of nine children.  His siblings were Carlos, Ester, Zulema, Manena, Juan Jose, Dora Alicia, Raul, and one other sibling that passed away in childhood.   He married Emilia Marin 22 April 1951. They had four children, Griselda, Rene, Joe Frank, and Oralia Rosales.  Emilia passed away in 1964 in Parral, Mexico.  Rogelio remarried Consuelo Ovalle, January 1965 in Converse, Texas.  Consuelo had two previous children Sylvia and Michael Ovalle.  Together they had Dora Alicia Rosales.

His ethnicity through DNA testing was determined to be: 70 %  European; 40% Italy/Greece, 19% Iberian Peninsula, 9% Ireland, 23% Native American. He became a US citizen December 9th, 2011 at the age of 85.  He was a master carpenter who could build a home from the bottom up and created furniture.  While he was still in school he built a complete dining room set for his parents. He was an innovator who was fully committed to his work.  He enjoyed dancing and singing.  His favorite song was Malaguena.

He is survived by his brother Juan Jose, his children Griselda, Joe Frank, Oralia and Dora. He had six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
