Roberto Belton, born July 5th 1946, returned to our Lord on the 4th of April 2015. He was comforted by his entire family through his last hours. He was a San Antonio native, a graduate of Fox Tech High school and a retired United States Army veteran. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he treasured the time he could spend in the company of family and friends. After graduating from Fox Tech High School in 1964, he entered military service in the United States Army. After a long military career, taking him around the country and world, he retired back at home in November 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Eva Belton, brothers Santos, Pete and Albert Belton, sisters, Adela Aparicio, Juanita Belton, Mary Lou Gonzalez and Matilda Uribe. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Gerritdina Huzen Belton, son Gerard Belton and wife Catherine Belton, son Jon Belton, grandchildren Melissa Stokes, Michael Belton, Courtney Belton, Tristessa Belton. Brother Roger Belton and wife Angie; brothers-in-law Michael Uribe, Jan Willem Huzen, Henk Huzen and Johan Huzen and sisters-in-law Aurora Belton, Geertje Plaat and Wia Huzen; as well as numerous loved nephews, nieces and extended family. FUNERAL SERVICES Visitation will begin Monday, April 13, 2015 at 5:00 pm followed by celebration of life at 7:00 pm. at The Angelus Funeral Home, 1119 North St. Mary's St., San Antonio. Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:30 am. for interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
