Mr. Robert Valera age 83 of San Antonio passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Mr. Valera served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and received a Purple Heart for his valor. He retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 37 years of civil service. Mr. Valera was preceded in death by his parents: Jose Maria and Teresa Valera; his brother, Joe Valera and his sister, Beatrice Molina. He is survived by his wife Adelina C. Valera; daughters: Theresa (Tess) Muth and husband Mark, Carolyn Sue Hodge and husband Christopher; grandchildren: Dylan P. Hayes and Erika Pilar Muth; great-grandson, Jack Robert Hayes-Hodge. FUNERAL SERVICES Visitation will begin Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
