Mr. Robert A. Elizondo, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the age of 91. Mr. Elizondo served proudly in the U.S. Army during W.W.II and retired from civil service after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jose Angel and Lucia Elizondo; son, Robert A. Elizondo, Jr. Mr. Elizondo is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice Lozano Elizondo; daughters: Irma Elizondo Campbell and Linda Elizondo Gomez (Carlos); sisters: Lucy Grewach, Martina Bohler, Norma Nielsen; grandchildren: Julie Salinas (Mark) and Justin Gomez; great-grandchild, Rylen Salinas. Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 9:30 A.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. A special thank you to Dr. Carlos Alvarez-Meraz and VITAS Hospice for the care given to Mr. Elizondo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Mr. Elizondo's memory.
