Rita Marie Catherine (Jacobs) Corcoran, 85, passed from this life on November 23, 2017 surrounded by loving family in San Antonio, TX. She was born to parents, Christine A. (Pethe) Jacobs and John J. Jacobs on June 27, 1932 at St. Anthony de Padua Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

After a career at Standard Oil, Rita married her 11th Airborne Division "The Angels" Paratrooper sweetheart, Martin R. Corcoran and they retired to Vero Beach, Florida. They celebrated 35 years of marriage before his passing.

Rita loved to read and tend her garden. She served at the St. Helen's Altar Society (Vero Beach, FL), St. Anthony Chapel (San Antonio, TX) and enjoyed teaching within the adult literacy program at Indian River County Library.
