Reyna Flores Ramos was born in Mirando City, Texas on January 6, 1930 to Leon and Ines Muniz Flores. She was called to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the blessed age of 88. She is at peace and at rest.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and matriarch of the Ramos family, Reyna was caring, kind and generous to everyone in her life. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting and enjoyed traveling, but she was most happy when she was at home preparing meals to celebrate holidays and family gatherings. Her greatest gift was her presence in everyone's life.
Reyna had an unwavering faith in God that she demonstrated in her daily actions. She was a charter member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and was an active parishioner involved in church events and fundraisers. She was an active member of the Altar Society and the Assumption Seminary; she also enjoyed being part of the Bunco Club.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Birjilio Ruben Ramos; five children, Inez Ramos Skillman, Sylvia Ramos Rendon, Ruben Ramos, Irene Ramos, Rosemary Ramos Yates; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Reyna is preceded in death by her loving parents and her eleven brothers and sisters; all served as a source of inspiration throughout her life.
The Ramos family extends heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their support and prayers.
