Reyes Macias Lozano III, 68, of San Antonio, TX passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 27, 2023.

Reyes was born on November 30, 1954 to Reyes Jr. and Conception Lozano in his family home in San Antonio Texas. After graduating from Edgewood High School in 1974, he proudly served as a United States Marine.

His time in the Marines started Reyes's lifelong career in service as Police Officer for the City of San Antonio for over 33 years as a detective.

In 1975, Reyes met Maria "Maggie" Arriola falling in love almost instantly and were lifelong partners spanning 47 years of marriage. Together they had 3 children.

Reyes was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and always willing to help anyone in need. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, hunting, reading crime novels, and fishing in Rockport.

Anyone who knew Reyes knew that he was the most loving grandfather and a character always trying to make people laugh.

Reyes is survived by his father Reyes Jr., wife Maggie, son Vincent (Laura), daughter Stacy Torstrick (John) and grandsons Austin, Josh, Chance and Luke, granddaughter Maggie and great granddaughter Naya, siblings Alex, Raymond, and Velma along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Reyes was predeceased in death by his son Albert and his mother Conception, his grandmother and numerous other family members.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 7th at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8th at 10:00 A.M. at the Angelus Chapel.  Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South.
