Rene Ledesma Jr. sadly lost his battle with Von Hippel Lindau on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 43.

Rene was a cook at the Westin Riverwalk for over 10 years. His passion for cooking always brought the family together whether it be for holidays, parties, or Friday family nights. He loved all his friends by welcoming them into his home with open arms. He was a hard worker, loved to teach his friends and family how to cook, and loved to share his wisdom with anyone who would listen.

Rene had a very strong soul as he fought VHL for the past 20 years. As someone said "Unfortunately every Superhero has their kryptonite and VHL was his". We love you Rene always and forever.

Rene is survived by his wife Sasha Ledesma; children, Ethan Ledesma, Brooklyn Ledesma, Keira Ledesma; mother, Pamela Kay Sandoval; sister Jessica Carrillo, brother in law and longtime friend Kevin Carrillo; niece, Khloe Carrillo; nephew, Derek Carrillo; aunts, Raquel Rodriguez, Debra Cardenas, Gloria Hermann, Diana Rodriguez, Jodi Esparza; uncles, Ernesto Esparza, Frank Cardenas, Trent Hermann and countless family and friends.
