Rebecca Jo Cuellar Valdez, beautiful daughter of Richard and Yolanda Cuellar, wonderful sister to Richard and Nancy Cuellar, Dr. Daniel and Patricia Valdez, Benjamin and Wilda Valdez and the beloved wife of her love, Abel Valdez, passed away on February 10, 2018.

A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Rebecca attended San Antonio College before pursuing her love of travel. Helping people enjoy their lives, she was an events coordinator on a resort in Guam. Exploring the other side of our world, she left footprints in Australia and Bali.

At home, she expanded her world of friends, working at Joeys, Blue Star, the Aztec Theater and Sam's Burger Joint. She was loved by customers and everyone who met her, including her future love and husband, Abel.

Rebecca's great love of cooking and baking led to "Rebel Without" a business with an all allergen free menu. Books, the ocean, and reading, her greatest loves after family. She was a great gift and card giver for any and every occasion. Her greatest gift was her presence in everyone's life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Abel Valdez; mother, Yolanda Cuellar; brother, Richard and his wife, Nancy; in-laws: Dr. Daniel and his wife Patricia, Benjamin and his wife, Wilda; nephews: Daniel, Jacob and Riley; nieces: Patty, Veronica, Michelle and Madison; mother and father-in-law, Daniel and Aurora Valdez; godparents, Daniel Cuellar and Joann Paniagua; numerous loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin Thursday, February 15th at 6:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be offered Friday, February 16th at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower.

Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2.
