Raymond Cyril Persyn

January 24, 1953 – February 5, 2026

Mr. Raymond C. Persyn, age 73, entered the presence of our lord on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Raymond was born on January 24, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, to Raymond and Evelyn Persyn.  He graduated from Southside High School in San Antonio in 1971.  A lifelong resident of the San Antonio area, he worked 28 years for HEB and then another 15 years for the Medina Valley ISD.  He was a dedicated employee and took pride in hard work.

A longtime member of the Belgian American Club of Texas, he celebrated his heritage and enjoyed spending time with family.  While he was an avid sports fan, there was never a game too important to keep him from Saturday evening mass.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond L. and Evelyn Persyn, his sister Louise Persyn and brother Larry Persyn.  He is survived by his sister Linda M. Persyn; nephew Cody (Brooke) Persyn, great-niece Frankie Persyn and great-nephew Atlee Persyn.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Friday, February 13, 2026

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, TX.

Gathering of Family and Friends 9:30 AM

Recitation of the Rosary 10:00 AM

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM

A reception will follow in the church hall.
