Mr. Raul G. Gutierrez age 68 of San Antonio passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014. Raul was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and friend. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office where he was employed for 44 years. Raul was a devoted Spurs fan and season ticket holder for more than 20 yrs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva T. Gutierrez; parents: Joe and Evangelina Gutierrez; and a brother, Joe Gutierrez. He is survived by his children: Roxane Gonzales and husband Carlos, Christine Hernandez and husband Tommy, Eli Gutierrez and wife Mari; sisters: Vangie Ortiz and husband Edward, Sylvia Payne; brothers: Eugene Gutierrez and Ruben Gutierrez; grandchildren: Julian, Joshua, Jesse, Caralina, Victor, Eva, Juliana, Kymberly, Javier, Annalise and Zachary. Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 12:00 P.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park. In Raul's memory the family would like for all those attending the Rosary on Thursday to please wear your favorite San Antonio Spurs apparel.
