Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

While the Mendiola Family appreciates the support of family and friends, due to COVID-19, they request minimal attendance to avoid possible exposure for everyone. We already have a family member test positive for COVID-19 in the hospital.  Dad would be the first to say "Stay home, stay safe."  He also said that when he died to "have a party."  The family hopes to have a memorial celebration later when it is safer to do so.

Condolences may be sent to the Mendiola family in care of The Angelus Funeral Home: www.theangelusfuneralhome.com or 1119 N. Saint Mary's St., SAT, 78215.

Please join the family in praying:

I commend you, my brother Ramon, to almighty God and entrust you to your creator. May you return to him who formed you from the dust of the earth. May Holy Mary, the angels, and all the saints come to meet you as you go forth from this life. May Christ who was crucified for you bring you freedom and peace. May Christ who died for you admit you to his garden paradise. May Christ the true shepherd acknowledge you as one of his flock. May you see the Redeemer face to face and enjoy the vision of God forever.

The Lord's Prayer

Eternal God of love,

Welcome into your presence your child, Ramon, who you have called from this life. Release him from all his sins. Bless him with eternal light and peace. Raise him up to live forever with your saints in the glory of the resurrection. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.
