Ramiro "Ram" Cavazos age 66 of San Antonio passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018.  Ram retired from the San Antonio Police Department after 21 years of service.  He worked the DWI and Traffic Divisions; but it was his love for the motorcycle that allowed him to wear his uniform proudly.  He was awarded the Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission in April of 2002.  After retirement, he returned to work for the City of San Antonio for another 10 years as a civilian in the Communications Department.

Ram was preceded in death by his parents: Vicente Cavazos and Hilaria Trevino Cavazos; and a sister, Teresa Medrano.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dora Martinez Cavazos; children: Lori Cavazos Sada (Joseph Sada), Michelle Cavazos (Angelica Cavazos), Vincent Cavazos (Priscilla Cavazos); grandchildren: Cayla Sada, Justin Sada, Braeden Sada, Sebastian Cavazos, Vincent J. Cavazos and Camila Cavazos.
