Rachel A. (Padilla) Espinoza joined her loving husband Louis Espinoza on September 8, 2022. She passed away peacefully, at the age of 88.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents Antonio Padilla and Beatrice Cruz, husband Louis, and siblings, Jesse A. Padilla, Antonio Padilla, Jr., Margie Martinez, Velia Salas, and Alice Padilla. She is survived by daughter Rachel, son-in-law Kevin, son Michael, daughter-in-law Gina, and grandchildren Rebecca and Matthew, as well as in-laws, nieces, and nephews in San Antonio, MN, and NJ.

Rachel graduated from Providence High School in 1953 and attended Incarnate Word College. She held multiple positions throughout her career, including LVN, Pre-School Center Director at Edwards, AFB CA, and pre-K through elementary school teacher at St. James and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Schools. She enjoyed Bunco at Lions Field and attending senior exercise classes at YMCA TriPoint.

Visitation scheduled for 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Thursday, September 15, 2022, with a Rosary at 12:00 PM and Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
