Philip O. Urdiales Jr., age 76, of San Antonio, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his father Felipe, mother Carmen (nee Ortiz), and brother Rodolfo (Rudy) Urdiales.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Melba Urdiales (nee Molina); his son Christoper Urdiales; son Gary Urdiales and spouse Christine Urdiales; son Jody Urdiales and spouse Monica Urdiales; son Esteban Urdiales and spouse Priscilla Urdiales; grandchildren Noelle, Rebecca, Jasmine, Belica, Matias, Esteban Jr, and Isabella; sister Bertha Hernandez and spouse John Hernandez; brother Dino Urdiales; brother Andrew Urdiales; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Philip graduated from Burbank High School in 1959, served with the United States Marine Corps, and then retired from the US Postal Service after 32 years of service.  Philip was a high school basketball star, a sports enthusiast, and an avid golfer.

Services will be held at The Angelus Funeral Home (1119 N. St. Mary's Street 78215) on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 .  Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm .  Private committal will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
