Pedro Gonzalez Fuentes went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2021.  He was born in Karnes City, TX on March 12, 1930 to his parents Isidro and Julia Belmares Fuentes.

In Pedro's life he spent 5 years as a Soldier for the United States Army.  He was honorably discharged from the Army as a Private First Class.  After his Army career he became a civil service member at Kelly Air Force Base and then retired fully after many years of dedication to his country.  On a nice day you could find him outside tinkering around his work shed and spending time with all his family.  He is the definition of a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Pedro was preceded in death by his parents Isidro and Julia Fuentes and his loving wife Maria G. Fuentes.  He is survived by his children: Juan Fuentes, Patricia Sanchez, Pedro G. Fuentes II, David Fuentes, Cynthia Clay (Ellis Clay), Michael Fuentes, and Jesse Fuentes, Sr. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 2, at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, November 3, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
