Obituary

Patricia Ann Menchaca, was called home on June 17, 2025.  Born October 19, 1961 in San Antonio, TX to Theodore and Tranquilina Gallegos. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1979 as a twirler and majorette.

Patricia met the love of her life and married Edward in 1979, during their 45 years of marriage they had five children: Marcus, Nanette, Matthew, Michael "Scottie" and Priscilla. After raising their children, she still had love to give and worked as an educator for 20 years at Edgewood I.S.D. at Jose Cardenas where she dedicated her life to shaping young minds and inspiring a love for learning. She touched the lives of so many with warmth, creativity, generosity and loving support for her family and community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend with a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She lived life to the fullest and cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Patricia, a beacon of kindness and love will forever reside in our hearts. As we come to terms with the loss of her physical presence, we find solace in knowing that her spirit lives through the love she instilled in us. Although she is gone she will live in our hearts forever.

Preceded in joining the Lord: mother and father, Theodore and Tranquilina Gallegos, baby sister Concepcion Gallegos, brother John T Gallegos and nephew Salomon "Boxer" Menchaca.

Left to cherish her memory her husband Eddie, their children Marcus Menchaca (Yomara), Nanette Guerrero (Pablo), Matthew Menchaca, Michael "Scottie" Menchaca (Carmen), Priscilla Menchaca and Melly Rodriguez (John). Grandchildren, Marcus "Marquitos", Carolina, Stefanie, Fabian, Angelina, Victoria, Maya, Sayre, Penelope, Malachi and Oliver "Maverick." Siblings, Ted Gallegos, Jeannie Gallegos and Carmen Benavides. Also remembered by in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in the memories and everlasting love we shared.
