Pablo Martinez Alvarado born Feb. 29, 1936 passed into our Lord's hands on Mar. 7, 2014 at the age of 78. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico where he served 1 year in the Mexican Military Service before coming to the United States where he also proudly served in the U.S. Army and made a life for himself while remaining true to his Mexican culture. Preceded in death by his parents, Mama Angel, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 great grandson. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Esther Yolanda; daughters, Nancy Morales (Tim), Norma Borjas, Naomi Tristan (Joey), Nelda Carrasco (Marcus); grandchildren; Jennifer (Isaac), Pablo, Mirella, Sofia, Isaac, Diego; a great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Rosa, Guadalupe, Rita, Jacoba, Rogelio, Jorge, Maria del Carmen; and numerous family and friends. Dad had a big heart and always had a smile on his face..y le gustava bailar. Many looked up to him as a role model. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 12, at 1:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:30 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 8:30 A.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. with interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
