On this day, July 18, 2015, our Heavenly Father took our beloved brother, uncle, and grand-uncle, Norman Anthony Salomon. He will be welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Oscar A. and Alicia C. Salomon, who preceded him in death. Born in San Antonio, he was the head Drum Major of the Sidney Lanier HS marching band and graduated in 1970. He worked as a surveyor for SAWS and retired after 24 years. He was so musically inclined that he played several instruments and loved the Beatles, you would often hear him singing and humming their songs. He loved to go fishing, barbeque and made the best Mexican rice. He was quite the jokester and loved to have fun. Norman is survived by his brothers: Oscar (Alice), Arturo (Ludivina), Robert (Mary Lou), and David (Olga) and his sisters, Mary Alice, Margaret, Elizabeth, numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his faithful companion, his chihuahua Nike. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will conclude Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Norman's name. -Shalom-
