Nancy Ybarra Mendoza, born Sept. 29, 1950, and former resident of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home in Bowie, MD surrounded by her family. Nancy is a graduate of H.M King High School in Kingsville, TX, class of 1969 and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She worked tirelessly as a public health registered nurse (RN) for 40+ years for the cities of San Antonio and Kingsville, TX and Prince George's County, MD. She is preceded in death by her parents Amadeo T. and Felisa B. Ybarra of Kingsville. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years Martin Mendoza, Jr.; her son, Dr. Martin Mendoza III; and daughter, Amanda F. Mendoza, all of Bowie, MD. Survivors also include her sisters Rosalind (Manuel Jr.) Guerra of San Antonio and Cathleen (Juan B. Jr.) Garza or Kingsville; two brothers, Ernesto (Mary) Ybarra of Pasadena and Robert Ybarra of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES Visitation will begin Monday at 4:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
