Mr. Michael Thomas Pledge, age 79 of San Antonio passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017.  Mr. Pledge received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.  He received a Master's degree in Economics from St. Mary's University and a Ph.D. from the University of Houston.  He published many Economics textbooks, was named a Distinguished Publisher of the Year from Western Illinois University and was active in the Illinois Social Retirement Group.  Mr. Pledge had a fondness for small dogs and will be missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas A. and Loretta Pledge; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Farias and Mary Ann Martinez.  He is survived by his wife, Estela Pledge; son, Thomas Michael Pledge; grandson, Justin Pledge; sister-in-law, Dr. Norma Rogers; nieces and nephews: Laura Martinez, Lionel Martinez, Ernest Martinez, Susan Marino, Carol Divers and other extended family members.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will begin
Tuesday, October 3rd at 5:00 P.M.
in The Angelus Chapel with a
Rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M.

Services will conclude in the chapel
Tuesday evening.
