Michael Anthony Davila, 58, passed away on September 11, 2026.
Born to Janie (Garcia) Davila and Gilbert Davila, Michael was a proud lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas, a city and community that remained an important part of his life.
Michael approached everything he did with dedication, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to serve others. He took great pride in his professional life and in his service to the community. He devoted many years to his career at AT&T before later transitioning to USAA. Outside of his career, Michael found some of his greatest joy in using his talents to serve those around him. A gifted chef, he loved bringing people together through food and took great pride in preparing meals for family and friends. He also served as a familiar voice at countless events. He proudly announced games at his alma maters - St. Luke Catholic School and St. Anthony Catholic High School, as well as his son Aidan's alma mater, Central Catholic High School. He also never missed an opportunity to express his gratitude for others' service, always thanking those who have served America; he had a deep love for our country.
More than anything, Michael will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and deep devotion to the people he loved. He leaves behind many lifelong friends who became family to him. Family was at the center of his life. Michael is survived by Rose, his beloved wife of 34 years; his son, Aidan and his significant other Hannah, his daughter, Kaylie and her significant other Roger, his father, Gilbert; his sister, Elizabeth, two nieces, a nephew, a great nephew, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Janie.
Michael's memory will live on through the family he loved so deeply, the friends he cherished, and the many lives he touched throughout his 58 years.
