Mercedes Naranjo LaBorde born on November 5, 1948 went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2023 at the age 75. She is preceded in death by her husband Ruben A. LaBorde Sr.; mother, Belia Reyes Naranjo and sister, Hope Cazares.

She is survived by her daughter Loretta Gonzalez and husband Ruben; son, Ruben LaBorde Jr., and wife Sarah LaBorde; grandchildren, Ruben Gonzalez, Johnathan Gonzalez, Eric Gonzalez, Jeremy LaBorde and wife Elley, Jared LaBorde; great-grandchildren, Gianna Reign LaBorde and GianLuca LaBorde; two sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 5:00pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Angelus Funeral Home. Procession will depart on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 9:30am for a 10:00am Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
