Mrs. Mavis C. Saenz, born August 14, 1944 in Vinita, Oklahoma passed away at her home in San Antonio, Texas on January 11, 2024 at the age of 79.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Opal Carnes; her husband of 38 years, Rafael Saenz, Sr.; her son, Kelly Gene Ellis; her sister, Beverly Carnes Gleason Swift, and her brother Conrad Carnes.

Mavis is survived by her step-sons, Rafael Saenz Jr, (Deborah), Michael A. Saenz (Norma) and her son, Joel N. Ellis as well as seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service with inurnment will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 9:45am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
