Maudine Murphy Brown, born August 16, 1924, in Divot, Texas, entered into rest Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the age of 91.

She graduated from Incarnate Word College as a Registered Nurse in the 1940s. She worked in every facet of nursing from surgery to obstetrics throughout San Antonio and the state of Texas. She spent the last twenty years of her career as a Director of Nurses, in many of the nursing homes in San Antonio.

She is survived by two younger sisters, Udell Lacey and Joy Murphy, as well as her daughter, Susan Brown Armstrong, son, Lawrence Hugh Brown and wife Janene, daughter, Nancy Brown Williams (and the late David Williams), and son, James Edwin Brown. She had 9 grandchildren; Stacie Brown Donohue (the oldest grandchild and raised more like a daughter), Christopher (and Beth), Brian (and Tori) and Matthew Armstrong, Randy (and Beth) Smart, Curtis and the late Kevin Brown, David "Shawn" (and Jess) Williams and Regina Williams Bain (and Nate).  She also has 14 great-grandchildren, Colby, Sierra and Ashlyn Donohue, Hunter and Ella Armstrong, William and Zachary Armstrong, Gary, Justin and Tyler Smart, Caeley and Nathan Brown, Briana Bain and soon to be Jonathan Williams, as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel. Graveside Service and Interment will be held Monday at 9:00 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
