The gates of heaven were opened for Mary Carmen Vargas on November 20, 2020 as she went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. Born on October 24, 1960 to Paula Eloisa and Joe B. Marroquin. Carmen was a faithful servant and child of God.
On October 25, 1981 Carmen married Raul Vargas Jr. They lived in San Antonio their entire marriage where they raised their three daughters Priscilla, Vanessa & Ezra. Carmen worked full time at Paul's Trophy & Engraving where she helped manage the shop for 17 years. She also dedicated her life to serve God and doing His work. Carmen served alongside her husband Raul at The Good Shepherd Church of God and The Miracle Center as marriage counselors, prison ministers and church leaders.
Carmen also loved doing home projects in her spare time. She enjoyed restoring old vintage furniture and giving them new purpose. She also took pride in her home decorating and always made sure her house was decorated for every holiday. A talent she passed down to her daughters. Carmen especially loved taking her little road trips with her friends and family.
Family was always Carmen's priority. She enjoyed spending quality time with her daughters, grandchildren, sisters and brother. Through her quality time with her sisters, Carmen developed a knack for bingo where she made new friends.
