Mrs. Mary L. Solis, age 89 of San Antonio, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Mrs. Solis was born in Laredo, Texas.  She grew up with numerous cousins and remained close to them throughout her life. She was an excellent quilter and cook. She loved Mexican music and sports, especially baseball. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the Rosary daily.

Mrs. Solis was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny J. Solis Sr., son Richard G. Solis, parents: Enrique and Carlota Benavides Aldape, sisters: Lilia Law, Belia Kaster, Olivia Montalvo, Emma Olivares, and Guadalupe Brantley.  She is survived by her sister, Carlota Cabello and by her children: Roxana Varela (Juan), Rosario Solis, Regina Torres (Salvador), and Johnny J. Solis, Jr., (Tracie).  Mrs. Solis was a beloved mother of 5 and grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary at 11:30 a.m.

followed by the Funeral Mass offered at 12:30 p.m.
