Mary G. Martinez of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 23, surrounded by her family. Mary had an amazing zest for life and passion to teach people about Jesus Christ. Mary was an active member, leader, and mentor at St. Mary Magdalen Church for over 35 years. Her loss will be felt by many, but her love and teachings will continue to live on for many generations to come.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jacinto and Guadalupe Pulido, her brother Jacinto Pulido, Jr., and sister Frances Guedea. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dimas Martinez; Aunt Chonita (Eddie) Fernandez; sister Willie Mae (Eddie) Urbanowich; daughters Virginia Valdez and Raynee (Joe) Arabit; grandchildren Gina Boone, Daniel (Chelsea Rea) Valdez, Jacob Valdez, Ben Valdez, and Patti Valdez; and great-granddaughters Mali, Maci, and Maya Boone.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, July 2, at 4:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, July 3, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
