Obituary

Mary Torres Johnson was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife who passed away on July 28, 2021.

She was born on September 13, 1936, in Robstown, Texas. Mary was married to William "Bill" Johnson for 41 years. Throughout their time together, they had a unique and dynamic relationship. From the witty teasing and joking of each other to sharing a devoted journey in faith. Therefore, her spiritual beliefs guided her to find harmony, peace, and unconditional love. From humble beginnings, Mary kept us grounded and on the path of righteousness. By appreciating the small things in life, this taught us the value of spending quality time with family. Mary cherished her relationships with her loved ones. She will always be remembered for her lightheartedness, which nurtured an inclusive environment. Always invested in the lives of her husband, child, and grandchildren, she never missed a moment to tell us how proud and happy we made her. "Never forget, God is love." We all thank you for having a huge impact on our lives, for we will forever love and miss you. . . In saecula saeculorum.

She was preceded by her mom, Vincenta Gonzalez; her dad, Juan Ruben Torres Sr.; her brother, Juan Ruben Torres Jr.; great grandson, Levi Granby, and a great granddaughter.

Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Johnson; daughter, Elizabeth Granby and husband Ron; grandchildren, Noel Granby, William Palos (Ana), Joshua Palos (Maggie), Cody Granby, and Marcus Granby; great grandchildren, Alexis, Isaac, Emma, Damien, Isabella, Luke, Ryan, and Annie; and numerous extended family members and friends.
