Mary Lou Guerrero exited this world surrounded by the love of her family on October 9, 2024, just shy of her 85th birthday. She grew up on the West Side as the youngest girl of a large family that always stuck together. Mary Lou was a series of contradictions. She was a fan of reality TV and also read the New York Times each Sunday. She loved Frank Sinatra and also Ruben Blades. She was funny and warm and also frustratingly stubborn. She lived her life with curiosity and was never afraid to speak her truth. Mary Lou was always asking, "what does the future hold?", not so much for herself but for the two generations of nieces and nephews that she helped raise. They all have loving memories of her, from her famous "hot dog soup", to trips to Market Square on the city bus and summer sleepovers. She was strong, independent and found humor in life's absurdities. Her three sisters, Victoria, Genevieve, Elisa and her many nieces and nephews will all miss her deeply.
It's 2-0-0 time Fali. Time to rest.
